Disgust and Awkwardness
I have seen narcissists use these two negative emotions to try and stimulate the amygdalae of targets. One narcissist who comes to mind seemingly had a prepared routine about the name his wife had given to his genitalia and the reasoning behind it. As he went through this routine with an expression of glassy-eye'd, socially unaware, total focus on the subject, in front of women, you could watch the observer's eyebrows furrow, foreheads wrinkle, and wide eyes looking side to side at other observers, as if to see if they were getting this.
Again, as a narcissist technique, it depends on the politeness and kindness of the observers. Nobody would want to interrupt him to tell him that he was disgusting and revolting, and shouldn't be talking about that in polite company, let alone among women. Instead, trapped by their niceness and politeness, these victims sat patiently, suppressing their grimaces, and endured the awkward discomfort.
The narcissist, meanwhile would evince just the slightest glimmer of being pleased as he concluded his bit, I assume in response to the uncomfortable nods, defensive body postures, and befuddled stares he had precipitated.
I am not sure of the utility of this technique for the normal person, or how a narcissist would respond to the presentation of these stimuli to themselves. They might have reduced disgust tendencies, defusing the effects of that attack. I also would not present an awkward stimulus, as I assume the narcissist would save the information, to argue to associates later in favor of out-grouping you, as socially uncomfortable to be around.
I have never used these myself, nor do I recommend it, but I include it here for completeness, as it is one of the weapons I have seen narcissists deploy. It is helpful to understand how narcissists strive to stimulate the amygdalae of their targets, using whatever noxious stimuli they can find to present, so in that regard, you should file the information away.
